The legend of a tall ship sailing the high seas...
In our hotel-restaurant facing the sea in Plérin, enjoy our heated indoor pool and Spa.
From Plérin's customs path, legend has it that a tall ship sailing the highest seas ran aground at the foot of the Manoir de la Pointe du Roselier in Plérin. The ship's captain fell madly in love with the Manoir's princess, and decided not to leave again. The two came together as one to offer a romantic score for passing travelers...
Built in the 19th century between 1813 and 1847 by an officer, Louis Vésuty, commander of the national guard in Saint-Brieuc, the Roselier manor house has undergone a number of transformations over the years.
Home, religious community, hotel-restaurant, hostel for troubled youth... The Boutillier couple moved in in the 1950s, and developed a renowned establishment.
Johnny Hallyday stayed here during a concert in Saint-Brieuc. So did Serge Gainsbourg's parents. They even asked to watch the family television to see their son, who was invited to appear on a program.
A few events even made the headlines at the time: Renault, the car manufacturer, launched the Floride, a magnificent car, with the team staying at the hotel in 1959.
We've preserved the visual signature of the original structure, adding the beauty of modernism to enhance the old architecture by harmonizing the whole, without losing the beauty of the surroundings. The current owner pays homage to this historic pillar while highlighting its value, a bit like a declaration of love for this place.
The original materials have been preserved and reworked to avoid obliterating the structures that are so important to this little Breton paradise where they were born. We've imagined and dreamed up this exceptional, intimate and relaxing place, just for you, by putting people back at the heart of life, in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Enjoy a unique experience in our hotel !
